We shot 300, 500, 600, and 900 yards on day 1. At each yard line we shot 10 shots. We were pair-firing, so I would shoot a shot, then the person that I was shooting with would write down my shot, then take a shot. I would write down his shot, then take a shot, this would continue until we had shot all of our shots. At 300 yards I had a 100-6x. At 500 yards I had a 90-8x. At 600 yards I had a 98-2x. I dropped 10 points at 500 yards because of my rifle malfunction. My shot counted as a miss because it didn't hit the target. I closed the bolt, and that's when it fired. Since my trigger was set at 1 1/2 pounds, I thought that I might have closed it too hard, and that's what set it off. It happened again in the team match the following day. Trudie Fay, a GREAT shooter, took my gun home that night. Her husband made my trigger heavier to solve the problem. It was a little bit heaver than I wanted it, so Michelle Gallagher took me to Mid Tompkins to lighten it a little bit. Also, when I closed the bolt, it was hitting the stock. He cut it a little bit to reduce random weird shots. I was really happy! But, in the last team match, it broke again! It was a lot to deal with!

Spirit of America
That was a crazy week! I had a lot of gun problems, and a few people fixed them for me. I was so grateful for their kindness to me! In the middle of my last string in the team match, my trigger broke! It wouldn't pull back, so I opened the bolt, and that's when it fired!! I dry-fired (shooting with nothing in the gun) for a little bit, and it felt like 8 pounds to pull back instead of 2 1/2 pounds. It was really hard to finish my string, but I had to do it! I felt bad for my team, but there was nothing I could do. My coach was happy with how I handled all the problems that I went through.
Each morning, there is the presentation of colors. One morning, the girls that stayed with us, and I were asked to raise the flag. It was really cool! It was my first time to raise the flag at a match.

N.W. International
I just shot the North West International in Puyallup. I had my first clean, it was at 500 yards. My score was a 200-12X, I was really happy!! I dropped 4 points that day, 1 at 300 yards, and 3 at 600 yards. The next day, I didn't drop any untill my 17th shot at 600 yards, I shot a 9. I was happy with my score that day =). Overall, I shot a 1195/1200 =).
